  • rofessional Performance Certificates are available to students who are majoring in Dance Studies, Music or Theatre, and wish to pursue more intensive training in their area.
  • Meredith has many areas in which music majors may perform. The principal performing spaces include Jones Auditorium, Clara Carswell Concert Hall and Jones Chapel
  • Music majors at Meredith hone their craft by performing in large and small vocal and instrumental ensembles, opera workshops, keyboard ensembles and the annual Concerto/Aria Competition and Concert, whose winners perform as soloists with the Raleigh Sympho

Music students have opportunities to perform in large and small vocal and instrumental ensembles, opera workshop, and keyboard ensembles. In addition, students have access to a vibrant music community, both in the capital city of Raleigh and in the larger Triangle area. Professional music ensembles nearby include the North Carolina Symphony, North Carolina Opera, Triangle Jazz Alliance, and the North Carolina Master Chorale.
